FIGHTAN GAME NEWS
All fighting game news, all the time! The one blog that's never afraid of quarter-circles, combo breakers and taunt KOs, FIGHTAN GAME NEWS! This week, we have some exciting stuff. Read it.
Final Fantasy Dissidia: Reviews are in! Or at least one of 'em.
It seems it turns out it's pretty much as
litagemini predicted, in that it's a bit of a clusterfuck, gameplay-wise. However, its saving grace would be it having more awesome fanservice than you can shake, oh, about three dozen sticks at. I just can't help but wonder, though, how one could review a Final Fantasy game made in the last ten years and complain about it having too many cutscenes.
Sunday X Magazine: New shounen manga crossover game coming out for the PSP!! Featuring Inuyasha and too many others to name!!
This will probably not be coming out here, but the discerning importer may be thrilled by these news. I actually haven't seen a single one of the series featured (aside from a tiny bit of Inuyasha), but I think I've had every single one of them recommended to me at some point or another. Now, I can only wish for a new Jump Superstars...
Card Sagas Wars: This fanmade game looks like the tits with cherries on top.
Can you believe that it's apparently done in Mugen? The sad part is that it means this will have the limitations of a Mugen game, but, well... just LOOK at it. Even Smash Brothers pales in comparison to Mario and Etna VS Master Chief and Crono. Now, if only it would just come out... the main website for it has gone a few months without news, now. Worrying.
Tune in next time for more exciting fightan game news! "Next time", of course, will be anytime I have more than two fighting game-related news to report again, which might just NEVER HAPPEN.

But I'm glad at least it's a colorful game. I mean, it seems about what I thought it would be but at least it has no shortage of cool characters that you don't have to "unlock" to play.
I'll still play Dissidia. It's not like I expected it to be more than fanservice to begin with.
And that's pretty much my stance too. I've been cautiously optimistic up to this point, so I'm happy to see that even though it's not the second coming some were hoping for, it's much more than decent, fanservice-wise, which makes it all worth it.
